Our main focus is Discipleship at all levels of Ministry. Our objective is to manage a simple, sustainable and easy-to-remember rhythm cycle whereby we equip and help create strong, mature Christians with the desire to serve, and to be a witness and share His message. In order to keep it simple we focus on men, women and children/youth; in order to keep it sustainable we encourage limited weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings; in order to keep it easy-to-remember we meet on the same pre-designated days for each meeting. As part of our discipleship plan, we place a strong focus on gathering together on Sundays, meeting in small group settings to foster personal, intimate relationships throughout the week, and monthly outreach so we can see Love in Action.
Our approach, features 3 main areas:
- Sundays - Sunday is a time for being together…the whole family! We gather to worship Jesus through music, offering, prayer, study and fellowship. Church is great place to meet people, to study the Word and worship with them, and to serve the Lord together as part of His body.
- Weekdays (Life Groups) - We believe that discipleship happens through relationships in community and that a commitment beyond Sundays is critical to staying connected. The foundation of Metro Calvary Chapel is built on a variety of small groups that meet to share in a study of the bible and how it applies to our daily lives, developing a sense of community, intimacy and accountability. These gatherings are the engine that drives everything else we do! This is where we form intimate bonds of friendship that carry us through this life together.
- Monthly (outreach) – This is how we see Love in Action. In 2014 we established Mobile Church to help take the idea of being out in public to the next level. Mobile Church refers to doing a service out in public somewhere other than where we usually gather (often on the last day of each month).
